About the Book
Responding to the importance of hygiene in times of Covid-19 Ingmar Larsen (34) came up with the idea to launch a cheerful and playful picture book that teaches children the importance of hygiene. "Especially in these times I want to teach children in a light-hearted way about the importance of hygiene, in addition, I have just become a father." That's why he invented Sam the wash-bear. Because who knows more about washing than a raccoon?
In the picture book, Sam gets a special gift from his grandfather Cor: a soap pump. According to his grandfather, there are microbes everywhere that can make you sick, but Sam can make them disappear with the soap. He finds that very special. Together with his friends, Sam learns when to wash his hands. After playing in the sandbox, for example, or before dinner. And after he took the bus.
